About the trainer: 
Kelly O'Neal-Hixon, Ph.D.

Dr. Kelly O'Neal-Hixon teaches graduate special education courses in literacy strategies and behavior management at Emporia State University. She also supervises special education practicum students at the elementary level. Dr. O’Neal-Hixson has taught various grades, K-8th, and 15 years at the university level. Her research focuses on behavior management, literacy instruction for the struggling reader, virtual supervision and professional development school (PDS) models for special education teacher candidates.
