About the workshop:This session explores the use of technology integration to engage students and enliven your lessons. A variety of tools will be presented that can be used to complete assignments and create projects that show a deep understanding of content. These tools allow students to take control over their own learning and demonstrate student-centered learning which changes classroom dynamics and management.

Melissa Reed, Ph.D.
Melissa Reed, Ph.D. has 20 years teaching experience in K-9 classrooms. She has served as an instructional coach. The past 15 years have been spent teaching courses to prepare teacher candidates at ESU. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate level courses online. Her research interest focuses on adolescent literacy, learning environments, technology integration, differentiated instruction, brain-based learning, mindfulness of the whole child, multicultural education, English language learners, diversity and inclusion.
