This session will showcase a tool called EdPuzzle which can help instructors easily create video based instruction off from some of the video repository sites and add assessment questions to the instruction.

In this presentation, research into the side effects of our dominant technologies (television, computers, videogames and smart phones) will be explored. We’ll end with some recommended ways for addressing these problems.

This workshop will review the highlights from the free introductory presentation and then dig deeper into each of these issues. We will look at two big questions: 1) How to protect kids from the side effects of technology and 2) How to ensure that our digital time is TWS (Time Well Spent). For the first question, we’ll explore Stanford’s Behavioral Design Lab where Instagram was first developed.
